The Wolves drove to the basket early as layups by Meg McGwin and Mary Cotter (Hershey, Pa. / Hershey) gave the Green and Gold an early 4-0 advantage. After Medaille got on the board, Killian Mahoney drained a three in transition to push the lead to 7-2. However, Medaille would rally to tie the game at 7-7. A free-throw-line jumper by Sydney Brown (Lowville, N.Y. / Lowville Academy) gave the Wolves a brief lead but Medaille answered right back as the game was tied 9-9 after one.

Keuka College started slowly in the second quarter as Medaille scored the first five points of the frame. McGwin stopped the run with a free throw, but it would be McGwin's layup over five minutes into the second that would be Keuka's first field goal. The Mavericks pushed their lead out to nine points, but a three by Sydney Brown cut the margin back to six. Medaille answered the bucket, but the Wolves cut the halftime deficit back to six as Killian Mahoney had a shot bounce around the rim and fall in at the buzzer. Medaille led 25-19 at the break.

Medaille made the first basket of the second half to push their lead to eight, but the Wolves would battle throughout the quarter. After a pair of free throws by Medaille with 4:06 left in the third, the Mavericks held a 35-28 lead. However, a pair of Killian Mahoney baskets sandwiched a Meg McGwin layup as the Wolves scored the final six points of the quarter to trail by just one, 35-34, going into the final quarter.

Keuka's run extended to nine unanswered points when Killian Mahoney hit a three in the opening minute to give Keuka College the lead. It would be tied and later flipped back to Medaille as there were five lead changes in the final quarter alone. Medaille would hold the Wolves without a field goal for nearly six minutes, but the Keuka College defense kept the game within reach. A jumper by Meg McGwin drew the margin to one, 45-44, with 1:35 remaining. On the next possession, Lauren Hill scored to give the Wolves a 46-45 lead with just under a minute left to play. Medaille took the lead with 25 seconds left. The Wolves worked the clock down and Meg McGwin looked for the game-winner in the dying seconds. Her shot was off, but Lauren Hill was there for the rebound. The senior put it back up and in to give the Wolves a 48-47 lead with one second remaining. The final three by the Mavericks was off as the Wolves won their second straight Empire 8 game.
