NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Led by four scorers in double figures, the St. Olaf College women's basketball team used a fourth-quarter rally to earn a 60-56 victory over Hamline University on Saturday afternoon at Skoglund Center.

After trailing 40-35 entering the fourth quarter, St. Olaf (8-8, 5-8 MIAC) outscored Hamline (11-5, 8-5 MIAC) by nine points over the final 10 minutes after racking up 25 points in the final quarter. The win snapped the Pipers' nine-game winning streak in the series dating back to 2017.

Sophomore Paige Yagodinski led the four double-figure scorers for St. Olaf with 15 points and six rebounds in the win. Senior Rachel Kelly recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 12 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, three steals, and two blocked shots, while rising from No. 15 to No. 11 on the program's all-time scoring list with 888 career points.

Senior Grace Hegland added 12 points on 4-for-6 shooting from the field, while also contributing five rebounds and two assists. Senior Cassie Fix was also in double figures with 10 points and three assists for St. Olaf, which shot just 36.2 percent (21-for-58) from the field and 26.1 percent (6-for-23) from three-point range in the game.

The Oles used their defense to overcome their below-average shooting night, limiting the Pipers to 35.8 percent (19-for-53) shooting from the field. Hamline was just 29.6 percent (8-for-27) from behind the arc, as Lydia Lecher knocked down three three-pointers as part of a game-high 19-point performance.

A layup by Kelly 2:21 into the game accounted for the lone points of the opening quarter for St. Olaf, but the Oles held the Pipers to nine first-quarter points to head to the second quarter down just seven despite shoot 1-for-15 (6.7 percent).

St. Olaf got its offense going in the second quarter, as senior Sophie Olmen hit all three of her shots, including a pair of three-pointers, to score eight of the Oles' 17 second-quarter points. After Hamline held its largest lead of the game at 14-4 four minutes into the quarter, St. Olaf got within five twice in the final two minutes of the half and went into the locker room down seven at 26-19.

The Pipers led for 18:49 in the first half and continued to lead throughout the third quarter, although the Oles climbed to within one three times late in the quarter. Kelly found Yagodinski for a layup with 1:08 left in the quarter to make it a 35-34 game, but Hamline scored five of the final six points of the quarter to carry a 40-35 advantage into the fourth.

Yagodinski connected on a pair of three-pointers over the first four-plus minutes of the fourth quarter to keep St. Olaf within a point midway through the quarter. With the Oles trailing by three, Hegland scored six points in an 8-2 run that gave St. Olaf its first lead of the game at 56-53 with 1:54 to play.

Lecher knocked down a three-pointer on the next possession to tie the game for Hamline, but the visitors did not score after Lecher's basket with 1:33 on the clock. Kelly and Fix both split a pair of free throws to put St. Olaf back in front at 58-56 with 22 seconds to go and, after a missed three-pointer by Hamline, Fix sank both of her attempts at the link with nine seconds to go to seal the win.

The Oles are in action again at home on Wednesday, Jan. 25 with a 7:15 p.m. tip-off against Concordia-Moorhead.
