Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (12/17/2022) - Gwynedd Mercy University (7-3) welcomed Rowan University (7-4) to the Griffin Complex in what was the Griffins final home game of 2022. Going into the fourth quarter Gwynedd Mercy was leading Rowan University 57-53, but a 26-15 fourth quarter favoring the Profs would allow them to walk away with a 79-72 victory over the Griffins. Junior Guard Lynzie Eggers (Turnersville N.J.) led the Griffins with 21 points on 7-19 from the floor. Eggers also finished with five rebounds. an assist, and a block. 

Griffin Highlights:

• Senior guard Kellly Owens (Schwenksville, Pa.) returned to action for the first time since November 29th and finished with 16 points and a team-high four threes. 
• Griffins were outrebounded by the Profs 48-43.
• Rowan University's bench totaled 25 points while Gwynedd Mercy's bench only finished with 17.

The Griffins will be back in action Monday, December 19, when they travel to Catholic University for the Catholic University Tournament for a 2:00 p.m. tip-off.
