Center Valley, PA (February 2, 2022) - Sophomore Mikaela Reese tossed in a career-high 33 points leading the DeSales University women's basketball team past Stevens, 80-63, in MAC Freedom action on Wednesday evening in Billera Hall.

How it Happened

  • DSU jumped out early taking a 15-4 lead over the first seven minutes of the game before the Ducks scored 11 straight points to tie the game at 15.
  • The Bulldogs led by two after one quarter and opened the second quarter with a 16-4 run to extend its advantage to 14 points (33-19) at the 4:25 mark led by seven points from junior Megan Bealer.
  • The lead peaked at 18 points twice including at the half (43-25).
  • DeSales torched the nets in the third quarter, shooting 70.6 percent, scoring 25 points to take a 28-point lead after three quarters and never looked back in the fourth quarter.

  • Reese' 33 points are a career-high and her 12 rebounds give her a double-double in six straight games.
  • Senior Averi Jordan finished with 18 points and pulled down six boards.
