Williams led by as many as eight points in the third quarter but couldn't shake the Mariners. Stevenson scored eight straight points for Mitchell late in the stanza, and a bucket by Jermia Dumas tied the game at 38-38 with 1:43 left in the period.

In the opening minute of the fourth, Mitchell finally pulled in front on a three-pointer by Sam McKenna, who then followed with a layup to extend the lead to 43-40. However, Williams responded with the next nine points to grab the lead for good. The Mariners had chances to tie in the final three minutes but couldn't capitalize.
