Giants Enjoy 62-60 OT Comeback Win at Bryn Athyn

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – Bella Lamonea (Glendora, Calif./South Hills) scored a game-high 18 points — including a pair of free throws to force overtime — while Lee Gordon (Philadelphia, Pa./Penn Wood) scored the go-ahead points in the extra session as the Keystone College women's basketball team enjoyed a 62-60 comeback win at Bryn Athyn College in CSAC action on Wednesday night at Asplundh Field House.

With the victory, the Giants improve to 8-6 (6-3 CSAC) and currently hold the No. 4 seed in the conference standings.

The Lions, meanwhile, drop to 7-8 (5-5 CSAC) and are tied with Cairn University for the No. 5 seed.

Standout Performers

Lamonea scored her 18 points in 31 minutes of action, shooting 6-of-10 from the field, 2-of-4 from deep, and 4-of-6 from the charity stripe. The senior chipped in nine rebounds (five defensive) and two blocks.

Mac Oribello (San Diego, Calif./Westview) tallied 12 points, going 4-of-11 from deep, to go along with five assists, five rebounds, and one steal. Gordon chipped in eight points, nine rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Gordon has 13 steals in the last two contests.

Renata Alberici (Hazlet, N.J./Raritan) and Abby Ritz (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock Area) combined for 11 points, 16 rebounds, and six assists while Laya Butts (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) and Megan Weber (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area) totaled 13 points off the bench, going 3-of-7 from deep.

For the Lions, Reilly Ward scored a team-high 14 points while Kaylia Duncan tallied 12 points. Terrae Lewis pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds.

Inside the Box Score

Keystone shot 60 percent from the field in overtime (3-for-5) and limited the Lions to 37.5 percent shooting in the extra session.

The Lions led by one after the first quarter and again by one at halftime, 30-29.

Keystone trailed by five (56-51) and six (58-52) in overtime before buckets from Lamonea, Oribello and Gordon gave the Giants the lead for good.

The Giants will travel to the University of Valley Forge (3-10, 3-7 CSAC) on Friday, Jan. 28 while the Lions head to Wilson College (8-7, 7-3 CSAC) on Saturday, Jan. 29.
