La PLUME, Pa. – The Keystone women's basketball team ended 2021 with a win, defeating Marywood University, 60-55, Thursday afternoon in a home non-conference matchup.

It was the first game for both teams after more than two weeks off.

The Pacers built up to their largest lead of 14 points in the latter half of the second quarter before the Giants came roaring back off of Mac Oribello's (San Diego, Calif./Westview) 17 second-half points performance.

After taking the lead on Megan Weber's (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area) 3-pointer at the 7:31 mark in the final quarter, Marywood's Jade Rolon re-took the advantage a few minutes later on a 3-pointer of her own. But Abby Ritz (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunhannock Area) quickly swung momentum back in favor of the Giants to take the lead for good on a made layup to hold Pacers off for victory.
