LISLE, IL - Alex Fanning nearly recorded a triple-double, Claire Gibler bettered her career high for scoring and the Benedictine University women's basketball team scored over 20 points in three different quarters to pull away from visiting Marian early and cruise to 2-0 in the NACC.

- Fanning dropped in a layup with 6:31 remaining in the first quarter to give Benedictine the lead for good
- Gibler hit a three-pointer 13-0 run to give Benedictine control
- Brilan McCory converted on a layup to extend the edge to double figures at 22-12 with 2:02 to go in the first and Britney Pizer pushed the lead to 28-14 with just 17 seconds left in the first
- The second quarter opened with nine straight for Benedictine as a McCory layup made the score 37-16 less than two minutes into the quarter
- Benedictine led by as many as 25 and held a 49-26 lead at the half
- Benedictine ended the third quarter by tallying 17 straight to lead 79-35 entering the fourth
- Consecutive layups from Gibler extended the run to 21 straight as Benedictine held an 83-35 edge
