The WildCats started the game off with a three from Kylie Stark (Lynchburg, Va./Brookville) to take the early lead but GC responded with a pair of free throws and a layup to go up 4-3. Randolph answered back as it used a 7-2 run to go up 14-11 with 3:35 remaining in the quarter. The Quakers closed to within a point but a pair of free throws by Stark gave Randolph a 16-13 lead.

Guilford regained the lead back as it went up 18-16 with 6:38 showing on the clock in the second quarter. A three pointer by Natalie Clark (Chesapeake, Va./Indian River) helped start an 18-6 run by the 'Cats that gave them a 34-24 lead at halftime.

A 10-4 WildCat run upped Randolph's lead to nine points, 44-35, with 3:20 remaining. Guilford again clawed its way back to make it a one-possession contest, 44-41, with 1:50 on the clock. Two free throws by Stark with a three-point basket by Cameron O'Neil (Gloucester, Va./Gloucester) gave the WildCats an eight-point advantage before a layup by GC ended the quarter.

Stark scored seven of Randolph's nine straight points to begin the fourth quarter as the WildCats took their biggest lead of the night, 58-43, with 5:33 remaining in regulation. Guilford closed to a two-possession game, 58-52, with 1:37 remaining to play. Randolph outscored Guilford 6-3 the rest of the way to come out with the win.

"Really proud of our energy especially defensively as we limited them to 24 points in the 1st half," said head coach Steve Lanpher. The 3rd quarter we struggled taking care of the ball offensively but we regrouped & had some key stops in the 4th quarter to come away with a good road conference win."

The WildCats were 19-of-55 (34.5%) from the floor and 9-of-24 (37.5%) from behind the three-point arc. Randolph outscored Guilford 20-13 in points off turnovers and netted 19 points to the Quakers' three points from the bench. Randolph matches its season high with 16 steals.

Stark led the 'Cats with 23 points and came away with four steals. Teniyah Crenshaw-Patterson (Newport News, Va./Heritage) added 11 points. O'Neil and Cierra Cook (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) both contributed nine points each. O'Neil had two steals and two blocked shots while Cook had three steals. Alexis Kiser (Floyd, Va./Floyd County) dished out six assists to go with three steals and three rebounds.

"Kylie had a big night as she led us offensively with 23 pts," noted Lanpher.  "Teniyah had a big 2nd half as she finished with 11 pts off the bench. Cierra was very solid on both ends scoring nine and grabbing three steals.  Our depth continues to be a major plus as we outscored them 19-3 in bench points. In addition to Teniyah, Kiser gave us six assists off the bench and Natalie Clark was a positive spark on both ends contributing six points.
