The Baruch College Bearcats lost 79-50 to the Bloodhounds of John Jay College in a CUNYAC contest played on Saturday afternoon.
The two teams started tied at 4-4, but the Bloodhounds scored 16 of the next 18 points to lead 20-6 after the first quarter.
The Bloodhounds carried their hot streak into the half leading 41-21.
The visiting Bearcats did not go away quietly and put together a 10-0 run to start the fourth quarter to get as close 60-46.
John Jay responded with an 18-2 run to put the game out of reach.
Nia Dawson tallied 18 points and Frances Snyder had nine.
All'Aha Albright led the hosts with 23 points and 11 rebounds.
