BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's basketball team earned a Skyline Conference road victory over Sarah Lawrence College, by a score of 74-60, at the Campbell Sports Center on Tuesday evening. The Maccabees have now earned their second victory over the Gryphons this season and advance their record to 3-8 in the Skyline (5-10 overall). The Gryphons drop to 0-13 in league play (0-18 overall).

Leading the way for Yeshiva was senior forward Tehilla Teigman who produced a double-double with 25 points and 15 rebounds, while dishing out four assists. Senior guard Adina Rosenberg tallied a career-high 15 points, and had three assists, while junior forward Lindsay Brandwein generated two points and brought down a season-best 14 rebounds, while registering four assists. Sophomore forward Mahlia Leventhal had six points and 16 boards.

The Maccabees outrebounded the Gryphons, 62-28.

The Macs got off to a slow start, falling behind 9-1 just over three minutes into the contest. However, a layup by Leventhal sparked a 15-2 run for the Maccabees to change the course of the game. During the rally, sophomore guard Jessie Orgel drained a 3-point basket that tied the game at 11 points apiece. On the next possession, Teigman forced a steal and delivered the ball to Orgel. Orgel gave the ball right back to Teigman, who buried a jump shot to put Yeshiva in the lead for good. 13-11.

Senior guard Chana Boltax capped off Yeshiva's surge by receiving a pass from Leventhal and draining a successful shot from beyond the arc to give the Macs a 16-11 hold, with 3:14 remaining in the period. The Blue and White ended the quarter with a 21-15 advantage.

The Gryphons would not go down quietly, as the home team scored nine unanswered points to narrow YU's lead to 25-24, with 6:02 left to play in the half. Rosenberg halted the opposition's rally by converting a layup to put the Macs back up by three. After Yeshiva forced a stop on the defensive end, Teigman received the ball from Brandwein and converted a jump shot to increase the Maccabees' lead to 29-24, with 4:49 remaining in the stanza.  Yeshiva was able to steadily increase its lead throughout the remainder of the half and take a 40-27 hold into the intermission.

The Gryphons once again rallied in the third quarter, as a layup by freshman guard Ana Srdanovic pulled the home team to within six, at 53-47, with 2:57 left to play. Less than a minute later, sophomore guard Camryn Davis connected on a free throw to shrink YU's lead to five. The Maccabees responded with a 5-0 run, highlighted by back-to-back layups from Teigman to put Yeshiva back up by double-digits. Srdanovic countered with a 3-point field goal to narrow the Blue and White's lead to 58-51, and that would be the score after 30 minutes of play.

Yeshiva would pull away in the fourth quarter, outscoring Sarah Lawrence by a 16-9 margin in the final 10 minutes of the contest. The Maccabees opened the stanza with a 14-2 run that put the Gryphons in too deep of a hole to climb out of. YU went on to win the game, 74-60.
