CWRU's Hageman Secures Final Career UAA Athlete of the Week Honor

Case Western Reserve University graduate student forward Kara Hageman was named the University Athletic Association Women's Basketball Player of the Week, after ending her career with a 22-point, 16-rebound performance during the team's 69-52 win over Carnegie Mellon University on Saturday.

Hageman's 22 points matched a season-high, while the 16 rebounds were a career-best.  She shot eight-of-11 overall in the game, including a perfect three-of-three from behind the three-point line, and added a three-for-four day from the free throw line.  In addition, she recorded a season-high five assists and picked up three steals.  The double-double was her conference-best 11th of the season and the 21st of her career, and she finished the 2018-19 campaign ranked fifth in the conference with 15.6 points per game and second with 9.9 rebounds per contest. 

This was the second time this season that Hageman has been named the UAA Athlete of the Week for women's basketball, and the fourth time over her career.

Case Western Reserve finished the season with a 15-10 overall record, including a 7-7 finish in University Athletic Association games, good for fourth in the conference.
