BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball team has been selected to the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament.

Receiving an at-large bid to this year's national tournament, BW (19-7) will make its 14th overall appearance in program history, all coming under veteran head coach Cheri Harrer. This will be the Yellow Jackets first trip back to the tournament since the 2014-15 season.

BW will travel to Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and compete in the Messiah Regional on Friday, March 1, and Saturday, March 2. The Yellow Jackets will take on Rochester (N.Y.) Institute of Technology on Friday. Tip off will be announced at a later time. Hilbert (N.Y.) College and host Messiah also comprise the regional. 

Ohio Athletic Conference regular season and tournament champion John Carroll University is the only other OAC school to make the 2019 tournament field.

This season, the Yellow Jackets were led by freshman forward Lilly Edwards (Dublin/Coffman) who posted 13.0 points and 6.7 rebounds per game in just her first collegiate season. During the regular season, BW defeated eventual Presidents' Athletic Conference champion St. Vincent (Pa.) College and fell to fellow tournament particpant and then fourth-seeded Thomas More (Ky.) College. 

In her 29th season with the Yellow Jackets, Harrer holds a career 583-220 record with eight OAC regular season titles and six conference tournament crowns, including five NCAA Sweet 16 and three Elite Eight appearances.
