The Baruch College Bearcats lost 67-45 to the Beavers of CCNY on Wednesday night at Nat Holman Gymnasium.

The host Beavers jumped out to a quick 19-8 lead by shooting 58 percent (7-for-12) in the first quarter and that proved pivotal as the visiting Bearcats were forced to play catch up the rest of the game.

The Bearcats did managed to get as close as 28-21 with 2:26 left in the second quarter, but the Beavers connected a pair of threes to lead 34-21 at halftime en route to the win on Play4Kay Night.

Samantha Genco was tops with 14 points and Frances Snyder has 10 points in the tough road loss.

Ashley Brooks had 17 points and 17 rebounds for the Beavers. 

The Bearcats will return home on Friday night for a 5:30 p.m. contest against John Jay College.
