LANCASTER, Pa. - Hood College's Mia Savoy scored a career-high 32 points to lead the Blazers to an 81-74 win at Lancaster Bible College in non-conference action.

• Savoy scored the most points for a Hood women's basketball player since Jen Willison's school-record 39 in November 2008. Savoy hit 11 of 22 field goals, including 3 of 8 from 3-point range, and grabbed seven rebounds. Her 32 points are tied for the fourth-most in a single game at Hood.
• Ebony Pitt was a perfect 4 for 4 on 3-point field goals and scored 18 points. 
• Maggie Tien scored 10 points, Tamiya Ford grabbed nine rebounds and Laura Vetter added five assists. 
• Pitt, Savoy and Tien combined to hit 10 of the Blazers' 11 3-pointers in the game, one shy of Hood's single-game record. The Blazers hit 11 of 27 attempts in the game (41 percent). It ranks fourth in single game 3-point percentage in Hood's record book (minimum 10 made).
• The Blazers committed only five turnovers in the contest, the fewest in a contest since a five-turnover performance against Chatham in February 2003. 

How it Happened

• A 3-pointer by Savoy gave the Blazers a 57-46 lead at the end of the third quarter before the Chargers rallied with a 17-5 run to open the fourth. Caitlin Hickey and Hope Hodges combined for 14 points in the run but it was a 3-point play by Courtney Goyak that put LBC ahead 63-62 with 5:27 to play. Hood turned to Savoy at the other end and she hit a jumper 11 seconds later to reclaim the advantage for the Blazers. Pitt hit a pair of threes over the next three minutes as Hood stretched the lead back to seven, 75-68, with 2:05 remaining. 
• After leading 30-23 at halftime, Savoy scored 14 in the third period as the Blazers expanded the lead to 11 points entering the fourth. 
• Hood shot just 20 percent in the first period but shot 50 percent over the final three quarters.   

Notes

• Hickey did her best to match Savoy, finishing with 27 points for the Chargers on 12 of 23 shooting.
• Goyak became LBC's all-time leading rebounder and scored her 1,000th career point in the contest, ending the evening with 13 points and 16 boards.
