Sophomore forward Kaia Porter scored a career-high 23 points on 11-of-12 shooting to lead No. 4-ranked St. Thomas to a 70-49 home-court women's basketball win Sunday over UW-Stevens Point at Schoenecker Arena.

The Tommies (3-0) pushed their regular-season win streak to 19 and their home win streak to 12.

Porter banked in a buzzer-beating shot from beyond the half-court line to close the first half. That capped a 20-6 run that gave St. Thomas a 38-21 halftime lead.

Senior All-America Hannah Spaulding finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. That helped the UST post a 63-30 advantage in points from starters. UST shot 54 percent from the floor and had a 38-28 rebounding advantage.

The Toms play Wednesday night at UW-River Falls, and open conference play at home Dec. 1 against St. Catherine.
