THE DETAILS
• North Central jumped out early, building a 7-2 lead and holding the edge for the entire opening quarter
• Claire Gibler made a jumper to open the second quarter and tie the game at 17
• North Central responded with six straight points and held a 31-21 lead with 5:26 left in the first half
• Benedictine trimmed the lead to just three at halftime by scoring the final five points of the half on a pair of free throws from Gibler and a three-pointer from Hanna Piro
• Gibler put Benedictine in front for the first time at 43-42 with a jumper at the 7:12 mark of the third
