FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - After winning a CAC-record 13th conference championship and finishing atop the CAC standings with a 17-1 record during the regular season, Marymount women's basketball senior Leah Hurst was named CAC Player of the Year on Tuesday while Head Coach Ashlee Rogers was named CAC Coach of the Year.

The No. 17 Saints (24-3), who are making their 20th appearance in the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship this season, also had three players selected to the All-CAC teams. Hurst was named to the All-CAC First Team along with sophomore Regan Lohr while senior Nicole Viscuso was named to the All-CAC Second Team.

Hurst, whose game-winner with 0.3 seconds remaining gave the Saints a 61-60 come-from-behind victory over then-No. 17 Christoper Newport in the CAC title game, is the eighth player in program history to be named CAC Player of the Year and the fourth in the last eight years joining Maame Amponsah (2011) and Katelyn Fisher (2012, 2013). A two-time All-CAC First Team selection in 2017 and 2018, Hurst is averaging 10.6 points, 5.6 assists and 4.3 rebounds this season.

Rogers receives her third "Bill Finney" CAC Coach of the Year award and second in the last three years. Rogers, who played for Finney at Marymount from 1999-2003, led the Saints to the CAC regular season and tournament title as well as the team's third-straight 20-win season.

The team's leading scorer, Lohr earned her first career all-conference selection and is currently averaging 13.9 points per game. She is second in the CAC with 374 points and second in free-throw percentage at 86.7 percent, having made 82-of-95 attempts this season. She also leads the team with 46 three-pointers.

Viscuso receives her second All-CAC selection after being named to the first team in 2016. She is averaging 12.9 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists this season, leading the team in rebounding while ranking second in scoring and assists.

Marymount opens play in the 2018 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship on Friday against MIT at the University of Rochester with tipoff slated for 5 p.m.
