Greencastle, Ind. - Seventh-ranked DePauw wrapped up the North Coast Athletic Conference regular season with a perfect 16-0 record for the fourth time in seven seasons in the conference following a 66-56 win over visiting Oberlin. The Tigers improved to 24-1 overall with their 20th straight win, while the Yeowomen dropped to 18-7 overall and 13-3 in the NCAC as their 10-game win streak ended.

The game was tight throughout, but Oberlin jumped out to an 8-2 lead in the opening four minutes. The Tigers responded with seven straight to take a 9-8 advantage and the Yeowomen grabbed a 16-12 lead at the quarter break. A 6-0 stretch midway through the second propelled the Tigers to a 29-27 halftime lead.

DePauw was ahead by three early in the second half after Melinda Franke hit a three on the Tigers' first offensive possession, but Oberlin came back with eight straight to take a 37-32 lead. The Tigers scored six straight to regain the lead briefly. Oberlin's Olivia Canning hit a free throw with 46 seconds left in the third to give her team a 44-42 lead, but DePauw's Maya Howard buried a three with 35 seconds left and then, after an Oberlin miss, she hit a jumper that rolled around the rim and fell in near the end of the period to give DePauw a 47-44 lead after three.

Oberlin was still within four with less than four minutes left, but Howard's 3-pointer with 2:54 remaining and three free throws from Sydney Kopp pushed the margin to double digits.

Howard led all scorers with 24 points in addition to a game-high five assists. Kopp added 13 and a game-high eight rebounds, while Budde followed with 10 points. 

Canning paced Oberlin with 18 points with Abby Andrews chipping in 10 points and Tyler Parlor grabbing seven boards. Ally Driscoll led the way with four assists.

DePauw shot 46.2 percent from the floor to Oberlin's 43.6, and the Tigers knocked in 5 of 15 3-pointers and kept Oberlin from hitting in a three in nine attempts. 

The Yeowomen were the first team all season to outrebound DePauw as they held a 30-29 advantage and they outscored the Tigers in the paint, 42-16.

DePauw opens NCAC Tournament play at home on Tuesday, February 20, when it hosts Allegheny at 6 p.m.
