Guilford Women Stop Randolph for ODAC Road Win

LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Lauren Ramsey scored a game-high 24 points as Guilford College won an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) basketball game at Randolph College, 67-45, Wednesday night.

The Quakers improved to 16-6 and 10-5 in the ODAC. The Wildcats dropped to 5-18 and 2-13 in ODAC action.

Ramsey, a senior, was 10-of-14 from the field, collected seven rebounds and five steals in the contest. Teammate Miracle Walters contributed 19 points and converted 11-of-12 free throws. Julie Carini (14 points) was the third Quaker to record double digits in the game.

Guilford led, 32-23, at halftime. The Quakers shot 25-of-51 (49 percent), compared to Randolph's 19-of-47 (40-percent). Guilford won the battle of the boards, 32-25. 

The home team made 17-of-21 free throws and Randolph was 4-of-7 from the charity stripe. Guilford forced 22 turnovers and had 15 of its own miscues. The Quakers led in paint points, 32-10. 

Kalyn Banks paced Randolph with 15 points. She was 7-of-11 shooting and grabbed six rebounds. Daijah Johnson added 10 points (5-of-9 shooting) for the Wildcats. 

The Quakers close the ODAC regular season Saturday (2/17) versus Virginia Wesleyan University. The Senior Day game begins at 4:30 p.m.
