Freshman guard Autum Kitajima (Williamsport, Pa./Wellsboro Area) came off the bench and contributed 11 points, five rebounds two assists and a steal as the Giants snapped a nine-game losing streak to improve to 4-16 overall and 3-8 in the CSAC.   Keystone, which turned 18 offensive rebounds into 19 second-chance points, also received eight points and six rebounds from junior forward Mayah Kitchen (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter) and eight points and four assists from freshman guard Bre Moore (Charleston, W.Va./Pennwood).

Hodanich, who has scored in double-figures in three straight and five of her last six games, scored 16 points in the first half as Keystone opened up a 16-12 lead after the first quarter and settled for a 33-25 advantage by intermission.  The Defenders cut Keystone's lead to five twice in the third period before Hodanich hit a pair of 3-pointers during a 20-8 run that gave the Giants a comfortable 55-38 lead entering the fourth quarter.

Hodanich's previous-high was a 19-point effort against Marywood University at the Insalaco Arena on January 9.  Tonight, she drained 6 of 10 shots from beyond the 3-point arc to help the Giants post their first win since a 55-37 victory over Cedar Crest at home on January 3.

Moro dominated down low from the start, pulling down 13 rebounds in the first half, five of which came on the offensive end.  She has now pulled down 20-or-more rebounds in a game three times this year, all of which have come in her last six outings.  With 22 rebounds tonight, she has gone over the 200-mark for the season (201).  Kitajima tied her season-high tonight with 11 points, equaling her previous high of 11 against Gwynedd-Mercy in Gwynedd Valley, Pennsylvania, on January 22.

For the game, Keystone held a 50-27 advantage in rebounding and limited the Defenders to just 36.1 percent shooting from the field.

The Giants will host Gwynedd-Mercy in CSAC action this Saturday, February 3, beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the Gambal Athletic Center.
