Albion rolls in non-league action

ALBION, Mich. – Brooke Schutte scored a career-high 14, Catie Nary and Tierra Orban set season scoring highs and Rain Hinton achieved her fifth double-double of the season as Albion College tuned up for the remainder of the season with a 104-29 victory over Great Lakes Christian College.

Great Lakes Christian scores seven points or less in the first three quarters, including the second when the Crusaders managed only one.

Albion scored the first seven points of the game and never looked back.

Schutte stuffed the box score with eight rebounds and five assists.

Orban hit 3-of-5 shots from 3-point range and finished with 14, one shy of her career-high.

Neary fell a rebound shy of a double-double, finishing with 10 points. It was her first time scoring in double figures since the Dec. 3, 2016 game against Saint Mary's College.

Hinton finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The reserves contributed with nine points and 10 rebounds from Jami Hubbard, eight points from Haley Nugent and Madelyne Standley, seven points from Mya Duncan and Maija Gillum and six points from Paige Ruesch.

Albion (13-6 overall) plays twice at home against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rivals next week. The Britons have a Wednesday night date with Adrian College and Calvin College comes to town next Saturday.
