GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Behind a balanced offensive attack, Gwynedd Mercy took down Cedar Crest, 67-37, in a Colonial States Athletic Conference contest. The win extends the Griffin unbeaten streak to six games.
14 different players scored for GMercyU (11-6, 8-1 CSAC) with Olivia Roseman and Chyanne Fine each totaling 10. Rebecca Fuehrer cleaned up the glass with seven rebounds. Roseman and Susan Bossler handed out three assists apiece.
The Griffins shot over 50% in the first quarter and closed the frame on a 6-0 spurt to lead, 18-7. Roseman had seven points, five boards, and three heads-up assists in the first half while Bossler connected on a late three-pointer to help the squad to take a 37-13 edge into the locker room.
The team limited the Falcons to only three field goals in each of the first three quarters which turned into a 50-21 score heading into the final stanza.
Sylera Weller led Cedar Crest with 11 points and added seven points and five steals. Teammate Natasha Barber added eight points and eight caroms.
Gwynedd Mercy continues their home stand with a game on Friday against Cairn here at The Griffin Complex starting at 7 p.m.
