GIANTS DROP 74-50 DECISION AT CABRINI

RADNOR, Pa. – A slow start came back to haunt the Keystone College women's basketball team against Cabrini College in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action Saturday afternoon at Nerney Field House.

The Giants scored only 14 points in the first half and eventually dropped a 74-50 decision.  Junior Sydney Craig came off the bench to lead Keystone, now 3-8 overall and 2-2 in the CSAC, with 13 points and senior guard Nina Hodanich added 10.

Cabrini, now 9-2 overall and 3-0 in the CSAC, was led by Lexi Edwards with 17 points and Ashley Tutzauer chipped in 12.

After falling behind 38-14 by intermission, the Giants finally were able to generate some offense in the second half, connecting on 9 of 16 field goal attempts in the fourth quarter.  For the game, Keystone shot 31 percent from the field and nearly 69 percent from the free throw line.

Freshman guard Bre Moore (Charleston, W.Va. / Pennwood) and sophomore Maddy Moro (Danville, Pa. / Danville Area) chipped in eight points apiece and combined for 15 rebounds for the Giants, who will return to action this Tuesday, January 9, against backyard neighbor Marywood University in CSAC action at the Insalaco Arena in Scranton.  Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m.
