Buena Vista made 15 three-point buckets and shot better than 50 percent from downtown on Saturday afternoon, as the Beavers rolled to an 85-66 victory over Coe College inside of Siebens Fieldhouse.

Holly Schneider scored a game-high 18 points, on 4-of-9 from long range while Morgan Muhlbauer matched a career-high for the second straight game with five makes from beyond the arc to help pace BVU offensively.  Jasmine Demers and Cassy Miller each came off the bench and hit a pair from downtown, as BVU was 15-of-29 from three-point range in the contest.  McKenna Whitehill (11pts) and Claudia Larsen (14pts) also reached double figures with Larsen also grabbing five rebounds and moving into the top-10 on the program's single-season charts with 28 blocks.

The Beavers shot 54 percent from the field overall while holding the Kohawks to just 34.5 percent.  Coe tried to stay in the game by going 19-of-20 at the charity stripe, as BVU went just 8-of-14.

BVU connected on back-to-back three-point buckets to begin the contest before one by Whitehill made it 14-5 with 6:24 left in the opening quarter.  Coe the scored seven straight to get as close as two before Miller drilled a trey of her own to spark a 10-0 run by the Beavers to close the quarter and give them a 24-14 cushion.

Larsen put BVU up by 20 (35-15) with a layup four mintues into the second, and BVU maintained that margin for the rest of the period en route to a 47-27 halftime lead.

Demers hit one of her two three's to make it a 23-point advantage early in the second half as BVU kept that cushion until the start of the fourth when the Kohawks tried to make a late surge.  They got within 13 with a three-pointer at the 5:34 mark, but a layup by Larsen followed by a layup and three-point bucket from Demers pushed the margin back to 20 with under 4:00 to go.

Schneider ended a scoring drought by both teams of nearly two minutes with a three to make it an 83-60 lead and BVU was well in control from there.

Jenna Lehman scored 14 points to lead Coe (2-3, 1-1 IIAC), as Destiny Smith added 12 off the bench.

Buena Vista evens its record at 4-4 on the year (1-1 IIAC) and will step out of league play for a non-conference game at Grand View University on Wednesday, December 6, at 7:00 p.m.
