(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – No. 4 Thomas More College shot 57.1 percent from the field tonight (Wednesday, January 25, 2017) as it cruised to a 113-57 win over Thiel College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) at the Connor Convocation Center in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

With the win, the Saints remain undefeated at 18-0 overall and 11-0 in the PAC.  Thomas More hasn't lost a home PAC game since February 7, 2007 when the Saints fell in overtime to Washington & Jefferson College.  With the loss, the Tomcats fall to 4-14 overall and 1-10 in the PAC.

Thomas More jumped out to an early 40-10 lead after one quarter, extended it to 67-28 at halftime and 92-39 after three quarters.

The Saints out-scored Thiel 68-16 in the paint, 41-7 off turnovers, 14-7 on second chance points and 22-2 on fast break points.  Thomas More shot 57.1 percent from the field as it connected on 44-of-77 shots and as 47.1 percent (eight-of-17) from behind the arc.  The Saints' defense forced 24 Tomcat turnovers in the game.

Thomas More was in scoring by junior guard Abby Owings (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton), who had a game-high 23 points in 17 minutes of action.  Joining her in double figures was sophomore guard Madison Temple (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) with 18 points, sophomore forward Nikki Kiernan (Cold Springs, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) and first-year forward Emily Schultz (Melbourne, Ky./Bishop Brossart) with 13 points each, sophomore forward Shelby Rupp (Milan, Ind./Batesville) with 12 points and senior forward Kirsten Paul (Cincinnati, Ohio/Cincinnati Christian) with 10 points.  Schultz led the team on the boards with a game-high-tying seven rebounds, while Kiernan and Rupp added six rebounds each.  Temple and sophomore guard Michaela Ware (Newport, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) led the team in assists with six and five respectively.  Owings led the team in steals with four.

The Saints return to action on Saturday (January 28) when they host Chatham University at 1 p.m. at the Connor Convocation Center.
