Baruch Falls to Mount Saint Vincent in New Year's Eve Clash

The Baruch College Bearcats lost a 98-71 home contest to the Dolphins from the College of Mount Saint Vincent on New Year's Eve Saturday afternoon in the ARC Arena.

The second quarter proved to be the difference as the visiting Dolphins outscored the Bearcats, 27-12. They started that quarter with a 19-4 run en route to a 53-37 halftime advantage.


Jacqueline Kennedyled four Bearcats this afternoon in double-figure scoring with another double-double of 20 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks.

Veronica Ganzihad 19 points and Shannon Barrettnarrowly missed a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. Daniela Ariasalso had a solid outing with 13 points and four assists.

Brittany Carroll led the visitors with 25 points on 7-of-10 shooting from three-point range. Overall, the Dolphins shot a torrid 14-for-26 from three.

The Bearcats will next resume their CUNYAC schedule on Wednesday, January 4, with a 5:30 pm contest at the College of Staten Island.
