RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's basketball team suffered a Skyline Conference loss to Mount Saint Vincent, 83-44, at the Peter Jay Sharp Center on Thursday evening. The Maccabees now drop to 2-5 overall, while the Dolphins advance to 4-4.

Senior forward Michal Alge produced her fourth double-double of the season, scoring 19 points and grabbing 15 rebounds, which were both game-highs.

Mount Saint Vincent (4-4, 3-1 Skyline) never trailed during the game, as the home team scored the first 14 points of the contest. Alge scored Yeshiva's (2-5, 0-4 Skyline) first points of the evening, via a layup.

In the second quarter, a pair of free throws by Alge pulled Yeshiva to within nine, at 23-14, with 6:51 remaining in the opening half. Later in the quarter, senior guard Tzipora Leiser laid the ball up and in to narrow the Dolphins' lead to 27-18. That's as close as Yeshiva would get, as Mount Saint Vincent pulled away to earn the victory.

For the evening, Alge went 9-11 from the free throw line, had two dimes, and blocked just as many shots. Junior guard Andrea Weiss added eight points, while senior forward Tess Blausteinscored five points and dished out three assists. Leiser scored six points, grabbed four rebounds, and forced two steals. Senior forward Simee Rosner and freshman guard Penny Rabin each scored three points, with the former grabbing six rebounds. Senior forward Gavriela Colton forced a team-high four steals.

Yeshiva will return to Skyline action on Sunday, at Mount Saint Mary, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
