LANCASTER, Pa. -- Freshman Lydia Lawson scored seven-fourth quarter points, fueling Elizabethtown's 14-2 game-ending run as the Blue Jays defeated Lycoming 61-50, Sunday, for their fifth Terry Greene Memorial Tournament championship.

Emily Martin scored 19 points and hauled in 16 rebounds, frustrating another opponent that had no answer for her, to claim tournament Most Valuable Player honors.

Lycoming led after each of the first three quarters and deep into the fourth, until Lawson sunk a pair of free throws to put E-town (3-0) in front 49-48.

Lawson went 5-of-6 at the line in the final 10 minutes and scored six straight points to bump the Jays' lead to 53-48 with 2:20 remaining. Abby Beyer came up with a steal and Lawson found Martin underneath on Elizabethtown's next possession for a seven-point advantage.

Lawson (seven), Martin (five) and Nikki Thompson (five) combined for 17-of-18 points in the decisive fourth quarter when the Blue Jays outscored the Warriors 18-6.

Six different player scored for Lycoming (2-1) in the first quarter when it grabbed a 16-11 by going 7-of-13 from the field. Junior transfer Julia Craig carried the Blue Jays through the quarter offensively, going 2-of-4 with a 3-pointer for six points.

Craig collected 11 points on the afternoon, joining Martin and Beyer (12) in double figures. But it was Craig's seven rebounds that played more of a role in the final outcome.

Along with Martin's game-high 16 --her ninth career game with 15 or more-- the Blue Jays commanded the glass, 46-28.

Elizabethtown also found its way to the free throw line 25 times to Lycoming's 10, and made 19. Martin was 7-of-9 and Lawson 5-of-6.

Martin's 22nd career double-double and second of the season put her on the all-tournament team along with Craig. Martin supplemented her double-double with three blocks and a pair of steals.

The Blue Jays were crowned champions of the Franklin & Marshall-hosted tournament for the third time in the last four seasons. Elizabethtown previously won the Terry Greene Memorial Tournament in 2008, 2010, 2013 and 2014.

Becca Painter led Lycoming with 11 points, while all-tournament team selection Shelby Mueller added nine and seven rebounds.

Next up for the Blue Jays is a meeting with Baruch back at Thompson Gymnasium on Sunday, Nov. 27, at 1 p.m.
