GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- The Griffins ended their tip-off tournament with a 67-52 defeat to Salisbury in the consolation game Saturday afternoon.

Charlotte Kucowski registered her third-straight game with a double, posting 26 points and 11 rebounds, both game highs, as she was selected to the all-tournament team. The senior also chipped in four steals, three blocks, and three steals.

Gwynedd Mercy (0-3), who trailed 28-27 at halftime, struggled in the third as they were outscored 26-5 in the quarter. GMercyU was held without a field goal, going 0-for-11 in the frame. The Sea Gulls were also hot in the third, as they shot 10-of-17 including four three's to lead 54-32 heading into the final stanza.

Both teams had similar shooting percentages in the first half but the Griffins would fall behind. Gwynedd battled back from an early 12-4 deficit to take a one-point lead as Nicole Dombrowski hit a streaking Kucowski in the paint and the squads would play to 17-17 score after one.

Salisbury's, Mary McDonagh connected on a three-pointer to cap a 7-0 run to start the second period. Once again, the Griffins netted seven-straight points of their own on a three from Kucowski to tie it up at 24-24. Julianna Hoisington would later connect from downtown to give GM its first lead of the stanza, but McDonagh would hit an elbow jumper on a fast break in the final minute to take a 28-27 lead into the locker room.

The Sea Gulls came out strong after half time as back-to-back three's from Lauren Rothfeld was part of a 9-0 spurt which would help open the game-changing run.

Dombrowski finished with 18 points with seven rebounds along with two blocks, two steals, and two assists.

Rothfield added 22 points and eight rebounds while McDonagh was two boards shy of a triple double, finishing with 17 points, 10 assists, and eight caroms.

In the championship game, Misericordia held off TCNJ, 71-67. Tournament MVP Shannon Croasdale hit four of the team's eight three pointers to finish with 14 points. Justine Seely kicked in 20 points and 13 rebounds. The Lions' Cindy Napolitano added 21 points on seven three-pointers.
