ST. MARYS CITY (MD) – Dickinson College received 23 points from Helen Roberts as the Devils posted an 80-47 victory over Delaware Valley University in the consolation game of the Dan Greene Memorial Tournament.

 

Dickinson improved to 2-1 on the season while the Aggies fell to 0-3.

 

Roberts hit a trio of 3-pointers and scored the Devils' first 13 points as they jumped out to an early eight-point lead. Dickinson pushed the advantage to 11 at the end of the first quarter and took a 37-19 lead into the intermission. DelVal never got closer than 16 the rest of the way,

 

The Devils shot 45.5 percent from the field and held the Aggies to 31.4 percent. They also held a 54-25 advantage on the board. Roberts finished with six treys, en route to her 23-point effort. Kassidy Lesher added nine points and 16 rebounds.

 

DelVal sophomore guard Morgan Mitchell was named to the all-tournament team as she recorded nine points, two assists and a career-best seven steals on Saturday. Sam Foy led the Aggies with 13 points while Ashley Smink and Danielle Skedzielewski added 11 and 10 points respectively.

 

DelVal will host Juniata College for a non-conference game on Tuesday, November 22 (7 p.m.).
