MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Benedictine University women's basketball team saw the season end with a road loss to second-seeded Wisconsin Lutheran College in the NACC semifinals.

THE DETAILS
• The first quarter was nip and tuck with five ties and three lead changes
• Shannon Ryan made a layup with 17 seconds left in the first to hand Benedictine a 16-14 advantage
• DeKayla Crayton made a free throw to even the score at 22-22 with 4:41 remaining in the first half before Wisconsin Lutheran scored 10 consecutive points
• Wisconsin Lutheran held a 33-24 advantage at halftime
• Benedictine scored four straight points to open the second half on baskets from Briana Hamilton and Raven Willis, pulling within 33-28
• Wisconsin Lutheran responded with five unanswered to again lead by double figures
• Two free throws from Alanna Ferry enabled Benedictine to fight within 38-34, but another run from WIsconsin Lutheran extended the lead to 47-34 with three consecutive three-pointers
• Nicole Botich made a layup with just over 2:32 to play in the game to pull Benedictine within 62-52, but the team did not score again
STAT LEADERS
• Benedictine held a 39-34 advantage on the glass with 18 on the offensive glass but managed just nine second-chance points
• Benedictine shot 28.1 percent in the first half and finished the game at 34.5 percent
• Botich was the only player to reach double figures, closing her career with 12 points
• Raven Willis finished with eight points

Benedictine concluded the season with a 16-11 record and fell to Wisconsin Lutheran in the conference tournament for the fifth time in the last six years with three meeting coming in the semifinals or later
