Sophomore Lauren Fischer matched her career high with 18 points and added nine rebounds as No. 8-ranked St. Thomas women's basketball ran its winning streak to 10 with Saturday's 69-67 overtime road win at Bethel.

UST has not lost since an 81-61 home defeat vs. Bethel Jan. 9. It kept its one game lead over St. Mary's with two games to go in the regular season and locked up a first-round playoff bye and top-two seed.

The Tommies have won either the conference regular season or playoff crown in each of the last six seasons.

The Toms missed a game-winning shot at the end of regulation and went to overtime. Bethel trailed 68-67 in the final 25 seconds of overtime and had a chance to take the lead but UST's Paige Gernes stole the ball with 18 seconds left. Kaylie Brazil made one of two free throws with :09 to go for a two-point lead, and BU was unable to get off a tying or go-ahead shot at the end of overtime.

Kaitlin Langer had 16 points and nine rebounds for UST.

St. Thomas can secure a share of the MIAC title at home with a win Wednesday vs. St. Olaf or Saturday vs. St. Mary's.
