Women's Basketball Loses at Mount St. Vincent

The Baruch College Bearcats lost 79-45 to the Dolphins from the College of Mount St. Vincent on Monday night in Riverdale, New York.

The Bearcats led 13-12 after the first period, but the Dolphins outscored them 18-8 in the second to lead 30-21 at halftime.

They kept up the momentum in the third period (23-11), which enabled them to record the non-conference home win.

Veronica Ganzi led all scorers with 24 points, while Shannon Barrett posted another double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Lauren Smith had a solid night on the boards grabbing 16 rebounds.

Oliver Kelly led the Dolphins with a career-high 13 points.

The women's basketball team will return home tomorrow, Tuesday, February 9, with a 5:30 p.m. CUNYAC home contest on Think Pink Night against CCNY.
