PASADENA — Dru Ishibashi and Grace Baranowski combined for 31 points off the bench, leading four Tigers in double figures as the Occidental women's basketball team won at Caltech 74-54 on Thursday.

Baranowski scored a game-high 16 points on 7 of 15 shooting and also had five rebounds and four steals.

Ishibashi hit five threes, had four assists and three steals.

The Tigers rallied after losing the first quarter 19-2 to outscore the Beavers 72-35 over the next 30 minutes.

Oxy forced the Beavers into 37 turnovers, getting an amazing 43 points off of Caltech mistakes. 

Season Impact: Oxy improves to 7-12 and 4-7 in SCIAC.

The Beavers fall to 2-17 and 0-10.

Triana Anderson and Erin Matsumoto each added 10 points for the Tigers, Midori McElwee had nine and Paige Waters chipped in eight.

Kate Lewis led Caltech with 15 and Stephanie Wong had 14.

Next Game: The Tigers are back in action on Saturday, hosting Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at 7 p.m. at Rush Gym.
