How It Happened

  • Both squads got off to a slow start to the game, with the first score coming after almost two minutes as the Highlanders opened with a 4-0 lead. A Brianna Macauley layup tied the game with 5:22 left in the quarter, but the Ravens would fall behind again by four points, 10-6, with 2 ½ minutes left in the quarter. The Ravens would come up on the short side of the 12-9 score at the end of the quarter.
  • Rosemont opened with a 6-0 run to take a 15-12 lead with under eight minutes left in the 2nd. They would hold on to their lead for the remainder of the contest. The Ravens would take control of the game by outscoring Cairn 27-6 in the quarter to take a 36-18 lead into halftime.
  • The Ravens would extend their lead by three more points in the 3rd quarter (18-15) to go into the final period with a 54-33 lead. Both teams had difficulty shooting from the field in the last quarter as the Highlanders just edged the Ravens in the quarter, 11-9.
Ravens' Top Performers
  • Carly Hislop shot 57.1% from the field (8-for-14) for 16 points, tops for Rosemont.
  • Brianna Macauley converted 6-for-10 from the field (60%) and 2-for-2 from the line to tally 14 points.
  • Leilani Naone-Carter led the Ravens with 16 rebounds and added nine points on the Rosemont side of the scoreboard.
For the Highlanders
  • Kendra Stum and Aigner Bookard each tallied 12 for the home Highlanders.
