Fontbonne's Emmie Haring named SLIAC Player of the Week

St. Louis, Mo. - Fontbonne women's basketball junior Emmie Haring (Ballwin, Mo./St. Joseph's Academy) has been named as this week's St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's Player of the Week.

Haring led the Griffins with 18 points per game last week as the Griffins defeated Rust College 83-67 and Westminster College 73-67. Against Rust, Haring recorded a career-high 24 points. The point guard averaged 65.5% shooting, going 13-of-20 in the field and 8-of-10 at the free-throw line over the two games. She also averaged 6.5 ast/game, 5 rpg and 4.5 stl/game. Haring's steals and assists sparked multiple runs in each win. She currently leads the SLIAC in both assists (49) and steals (33).

Fontbonne returns to SLIAC action Wednesday, January 6th at Webster for a 6 p.m. tip-off.
