Millikin Women Win at Eureka

The Millikin women's basketball used a fourth quarter rally to win at Eureka College 63-57 on November 24 in Eureka, Illinois.
    Millikin had a 28-25 advantage at the half, but the Red Devils out scored the Big Blue in the third quarter and led 47-45.  Millikin out scored Eureka 18-10 in the final quarter to pull out the six point win.  Trailing 50-49 early in the fourth quarter, Millikin got six unawswered points from Alyssa Saklak to take the lead and open a five point advantage.
    Millikin shot 37 percent from the field while holding Eureka to 35 percent.  The Big Blue out rebounded the Red Devils 51-38.
    Saklak had her fourth straight double double scoring 19 points and pulling down 16 rebounds.  Alex Capeles added 17 points for Millikin.  Freshman Yanni Saddler scored six points and pulled down seven rebounds.
    Michaela Balducci led Eureka with 10 points and 13 rebounds.  Emily Camden scored 13 points and Luci Weis added 12.
    Millikin is now 3-2 while the Red Devils go to 0-3.
    Millikin will play at Blackburn College on November 30 at 7 p.m.
