New York, NY --- At the annual City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) Basketball All-Star Luncheon held at The Water Club in Manhattan on Thursday afternoon and presented by Army ROTC, seniors Megan Campbell (First Team) and Vanessa D'Ambrosi (Second Team) and Nicole Francomano (Second Team) were all named All-Stars, while classmate Sarah Shanderson was recognized with the Bert Beagle Sportsmanship Award, as voted on by the conference coaches and Sports Information Directors.

Campbell, a fifth year senior and two-year member of the Bulldogs, makes her second straight appearance on the CUNYAC All-Star First Team. This season, the Tobyhanna, PA native has started in all 22 games she has played in, averaging 14.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game, both team-highs. Within the CUNYAC, Campbell ranks fifth in scoring and seventh in rebounding. She has also excelled in the classroom, as Campbell, who boasts a 3.862 GPA as a Physical Education major, was named to the 2014-2015 Capital One Academic All-District (District 3) Women's Basketball Team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Another fifth-year senior and three-year member of the BC Women's Basketball team, D'Ambrosi makes the conference all-star team for a second time in her career, after earning First Team honors in her first season in Brooklyn in 2012-2013. Missing the entire 2013-2014 season due to an injury, D'Ambrosi had a solid final season, averaging 12.7 ppg, 5.8 rpg and 1.5 steals-per-game, while starting in all 24 games during the regular season. The Brooklyn native also hit a team-high 56 three-pointers on the season, tied for third most in the conference.

Francomano, who also started in all 24 games on the year and has been a starter since day one as a freshman, earns her third straight selection to the CUNYAC All-Star Second Team. The Staten Island native led the conference in assists with 5.8 apg (ranking eighth nationally), while also ranking fourth in conference in steals with a team-leading 2.3 spg. Francomano also averaged 11.1 ppg, as she became just the fifth player in BC Women's Basketball history to surpass 1,000 career points. She accomplished the feat in Brooklyn's regular season finale against Baruch on February 17th. Over her four-year career, that has seen the Bulldogs post an overall record of 86-29 (.748), Francomano has played in 113 games (111 starts), while racking up 1,001 points, 588 assists, 401 rebounds and 302 steals. She is also the NCAA Division III active career assists leader.

Shanderson, another four-year member of the Bulldogs who was also a finalist for All-State Good Works Team this season, was honored with the Sportsmanship Award.

"Sarah is one of the most positive basketball players that I've ever been around," said head coach Alex Lang.  "She shows sportsmanship consistently, whether it be during a practice or game.  She is respectful and helpful to all, including fellow athletes, college staff, bus drivers, officials and opponents.  I've never seen her not showing great sportsmanship.  She plays just about as hard as she possibly can, showing a great love and respect for the game.  She coaches her little sister's youth team in her spare time and helps out volunteering with other charitable causes.  She is a four-year player who has not always gotten lots of playing time but always displays an excellent demeanor. She is a great role model for younger teammates and is a great teammate to all.  She is someone who has been one of the 'glue' players for us for four years.  She is mature beyond her years and someone who any coach would love to have play for them.  She will make a great coach herself one day, and is someone that any of her teammates and coaches will be able to rely on in the future for any support. She is that type of person."
