DALLAS (PA) – Brenna Coll continued her stellar senior season by scoring a game-high 21 points and leading Delaware Valley College to a 75-57, Freedom Conference victory over host Misericordia University.

The win, combined with King's College's loss to nationally-ranked Eastern University, put the Aggies (11-11, 6-5) in sole possession of the fourth and final conference tournament spot with three games remaining. Delaware Valley and King's will meet one more this season when the Lady Monarchs, who held home court back in December, make the trip to Doylestown on Tuesday, February 17.

Wednesday's win was the first for the Aggies at Misericordia (1-21, 1-10) since the Cougars joined the Freedom Conference back in 2008. They dis so in convincing fashion as they led for the final 28 minutes of the game, shot nearly 50 percent (49.2%) from the field, and went 8-for-19 (42.1%) from 3-point land. They also notched more steals (eight) than turnovers (seven).

Coll was the catalyst and she reached double figures in scoring for the 18th consecutive game and the 20th time this season. She also added six rebounds, two assists and two steals in 39 minutes of play. With 1,368 points and 742 rebounds in her time in an Aggie uniform, Coll is just 32 points shy of becoming the first player in Delaware Valley women's basketball history to eclipse both the 1,400-point and 700-rebound marks in a career.

The Aggies got off to a quick start and a 14-6 lead, but Misericordia battled back and went up by score of 15-14 and 17-16. The game was tied at 19-19 shortly after, when Delaware Valley took control with eight straight points as Anastasi and Coll had four apiece.

The Cougars closed the gap to 29-25 before the Aggies countered with a 9-2 spurt over the final three minutes to take a 38-27 advantage into the break. The nine Delaware Valley points came on three's as Anastasi hit a bomb, Coll finished with a three-point play in the paint, and Kelsey Kilpatrick nailed a trey with four seconds left.

In the second half, Misericordia got as close as seven, 46-39, after a Justine Seely layup with 13:48 remaining. The Aggies followed with a 14-3 sprint over the next 3:20 and never looked back.

Anastasi finished with 13 points and a season-best nine assists. In the process, the junior moved into 13th place on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,114 points. Brittany Wood added 12 points and six boards while Kilpatrick came off the bench and went a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc and finished with nine points.

Seely and Lauren Smicherko had 12 points apiece for the Cougars. They also combined for 14 rebounds and five assists.
