Offensive Balance Leads Women’s Hoops Past Vermont Tech, 62-45

Randolph Center, VT – The SUNY Canton women's basketball team led from start to finish en route to a 62-45 road victory against Vermont Technical College on Sunday afternoon.
 
Caseylynn Fulton (Saint Cloud, MN) led all players with 16 points on 7-for-14 shooting. Tatiana Laroche (Elmont, NY) was the only player on either team to record a double-double on 12 points and a game and season-high 17 rebounds. Brianna Sayer (Hermon, NY) added 12 points and eight rebounds, while Taylor Saltus (Clintonville, NY) tallied 10 points and a game-best five assists.
 
SUNY Canton (5-10) jumped out to a quick 10-2 lead after five minutes of play behind six points from Saltus. The Roos matched their largest lead of eight taking a 26-18 advantage into the locker room.

Tatiana Laroche finished with a career-high 17 rebounds along with 12 points vs. the Knights.
 
The Roos controlled the game the remainder of the game holding at least a nine point advantage over the final 15 minutes with their lead ballooning to as many as 19.
 
SUNY Canton controlled the glass 50-32 which led to an 18-5 edge in second chance points. Vermont Tech turned the ball over 24 times that resulted in 25 points off turnovers for the Roos.
