Farmingdale, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women's Basketball team had its seven game winning streak stopped on Saturday afternoon following a last second three-pointer from Farmingdale State's Andrea Desvignes that gave the Rams a 67-64 victory. The Rams would answer with an 11-0 run to move in front 20-19 on a Jeanette Spillane bucket, before the Dolphins pushed back into the lead with a 12-6 stretch capped by a pair of Christina Barone (Staten Island, N.Y.) free-throws. The conversions from the charity stripe gave the Mount a 31-26 lead with just under three minutes left before halftime.

The Rams went on to score the next seven points to take a 33-31 lead late in the first half on a Marlaina Sherman bucket, but Brittany Carroll (Staten Island, N.Y.) sunk a jumper for the Dolphins with 10 seconds remaining in the half to send the two teams to the intermission deadlocked at 33-33.

Both teams shot under 40-percent from the floor in the opening period, but the Dolphins knocked down five three-point field goals, including three from Carroll who led the team with 11 first half points, to get the game tied after 20 minutes.
