GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Gettysburg College women's basketball team suffered its second consecutive loss as the Bullets shot a season-low 24.5 percent from the floor in a 59-33 loss to Haverford College inside Bream Gym Tuesday night.

Haverford (7-6, 6-1 CC) maintained a tie atop the Centennial Conference standings and secured its fourth consecutive victory over Gettysburg (10-2, 5-2 CC).

Junior Jessica Porter (Narberth, Pa./Lower Merion) paced Gettysburg with 11 points. Classmate Emily Duggan (Marmora, N.J./Ocean City) added seven points and three assists, while junior Kim Ryan (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) and senior Samantha Pagel (Harleysville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) each contributed six points.

Sierra Berkel and Jacquelyne Pizzuto each tallied 13 points for Haverford. Berkel finished with a double-double thanks to a game-high 11 boards, while Pizzuto dished out five assists. Shannon Smith scored seven points and accounted for seven of the Fords' 10 blocked shots.

The rematch of last season's CC semifinal contest was close early as the Bullets jumped ahead 14-12 following a three-pointer by Ryan at 8:22. That would be the last lead of the day for the hosts as Haverford ran off the next 15 points with a pair of free throws by Berkel making it 27-14 with just over four minutes left in the opening period.

Ryan's second three-pointer of the game put the score at 32-19 heading into halftime.

Haverford controlled the second half as the hosts managed to shoot just 5-of-24 (20.8 percent) from the floor. The margin would drop no lower than 15 in the final stanza.

Gettysburg finished 13-of-53 from the floor, including just 3-of-11 (27.3 percent) from beyond the arc. Haverford held a healthy margin of 44-31 on the glass and out-scored the Bullets in the paint (26-12) and in second-chance points (18-7).

Gettysburg hits the road for the first time in 2015 with a match up at Ursinus College on Thursday, Jan. 15, at 6 p.m.
