Terrance and Sayer Post Double-Doubles Against Drew

Amherst, MA – Karyss Terrance (Hogansburg, NY) and Brianna Sayer (Hermon, NY) both recorded double-doubles combining for 23 points and 27 rebounds but the SUNY Canton women's basketball team suffered a 74-45 setback at the hands of Drew University on Tuesday afternoon to close out the 2014 Amherst College Tournament.
 
Terrance paced the Roos in both points (12) and rebounds (16), while Sayer contributed 11 points and 11 boards. Destiny Petty (Flushing, NY) tallied a season-best 11 points off the bench on 4-for-8 shooting including a 3-for-7 mark from behind the arc.

Brianna Sayer finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds against Drew on Tuesday. 


Drew University scored the first six points of the game and opened up a double-digit lead midway through the opening period. The Rangers took a 35-18 lead into the locker room.

The Rangers (7-3) continued to control the game in the second half en route to the convincing win. Hannah Miller led the way for Drew with 19 points, while Ryan Jackson (12), Courtney Trzasko (12) and Breana Wilson (10) all finished in double figures.
 
SUNY Canton (0-8) held slim edges in fast break points (10-8) and second chance points (7-6). Turnovers proved costly as Drew outscored the Roos in points off turnovers 31-9.
