GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Senior Samantha Pagel (Harleysville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) scored a career-high 28 points and the Bullets reeled off a 19-2 run over the final 9:18 on the way to a 64-56 victory over Neumann University in the championship game of the Gettysburg Tournament Monday evening inside Bream Gym.

The first half was dominated early by Neumann (4-7) as the visitors took a 10-point lead (29-19), marking Gettysburg's largest deficit of the season, with 7:16 left in the opening half.

Pagel rallied Gettysburg (10-0) with a lay-in to start a 15-2 spurt to end the opening stanza. A three-pointer by senior Jenna Swope (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) gave Gettysburg its first lead of the game at 32-29 and a lay-up by freshman Annie Reilly (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) gave the hosts a 34-31 lead at the break.

Consecutive lay-ups by freshman Emily Gibbons (Annapolis, Md./Severn School) sliced the margin to five with 7:10 left. A putback by JoHanna Metzger pushed the margin back to seven, but that bucket would be the last of the game for the visitors.

Pagel netted 20 of her team's 30 points in the final stanza. She ignited a 15-0 run to end the game with a lay-up and a banked three-pointer from the top of the key. The senior forward dished out an assist on the game-tying bucket by junior Jessica Porter (Narberth, Pa./Lower Merion) before converting the go-ahead score with 2:32 to play. Pagel added four more points and snagged a late offensive rebound that led to Gettysburg's final field goal in the waning seconds.

Pagel was named the Sally Musselman Outstanding Player. She bested her previous personal best by 10 points, finishing 12-of-18 from the field and 3-of-4 from the free throw line. She also added nine rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Porter was also tagged to the Gettysburg All-Tournament Team for the second time in her career after putting up 15 points and four rebounds in the title game. Gibbons added 10 points off the bench and Swope tallied nine rebounds and six assists.

Schlesman and Metzger were each named to the All-Tournament Team for Neumann. The former finished with 21 points and the latter logged a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
