LAS VEGAS — Tiffany Kho put together an All-Tournament performance at both ends of the court and Ashton Reid led all players with 16 points as the Occidental women's basketball team earned its first victory of the season, defeating Wentworth 50-42 at the South Point Arena in the D3hoops.com Classic on Monday.

Kho scored 10 points, had four steals and three assists. Her last bucket came with 3:22 left in the game to put Oxy up 44-35.

The day before, Kho scored 11 points, dished out four assists and had four steals in a 56-43 loss to Wis.-Steven's Point.

From the Coach: "Tiffany did a great job of leading us at both ends of the floor," Oxy head coach Anahit Aladzhanyan said. "We improved a lot this weekend and I'm proud of our resilience and defensive effort."

Reid went 7 for 16 from the floor in 20 minutes off of the bench. Triana Anderson scored eight points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Haley Sabino scored 13 points to lead Wentworth.

Season Impact: After a slow start, the Tigers earn a much-needed win. Despite starting the year 0-7, Oxy has only lost two games by double digits.

Next Game: The Tigers return to action on New Year's Eve against Saint Joseph's (Me.) at 1 p.m. It's the Tigers' last non-conference competition before beginning SCIAC play against Pomona-Pitzer at Rush Gymnasium on Jan. 3. at 2 p.m.
