St. Thomas women still unbeaten

No. 6-ranked St. Thomas sank eight treys and built a 46-19 advantage in rebounding in Saturday's 69-45 win over host Augsburg in MIAC women's basketball play in Minneapolis.

Elaine Warner scored 14 points, Anna Smith added 13 points, and Katie Stone had 11 points. Maggie Weiers had six points and 10 rebounds, and Alyssa Favilla had eight boards. Ten different Toms contributed points.

St. Thomas (7-0 overall, 3-0 MIAC) built a 37-16 halftime lead and pushed its advantage past 30 points in the second half.

The Tommies are home Friday Dec. 19 to face Wartburg (7 p.m.).
