Women's Basketball announces 2014-15 schedule

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville head women's basketball coach Megan Wilson announced the Pioneers' 2014-15 schedule on Friday, highlighted with a trip to Las Vegas for the D3hoops.com Classic. 

The Pioneers begin the 2014-15 season at the Dubuque Tournament, where they will face off with Loras on Nov. 15, and then host Dubuque on Nov. 16. 

UW-Platteville welcomes Wartburg on Nov. 21 for its home opener to start five-game home stand. The Pioneers host Alverno (Nov. 22) and Luther (Nov. 25), before starting the WIAC slate. UW-Platteville opens the conference schedule on Bo Ryan Court versus UW-La Crosse (Dec. 3) and against defending WIAC champions UW-Whitewater (Dec. 6).

The Pioneers go back on the road to UW-Oshkosh (Dec. 10), Coe (Dec. 13) and Ripon (Dec. 20) before their trip to Las Vegas.

In Vegas, UW-Platteville starts its trip against Wentworth on Dec. 28, and finishes the D3hoops.com Classic versus the defending national champions FDU-Florham on Dec. 30.

The Pioneers return to league play at UW-Stout on Jan. 3, and then return home on Jan. 7 against UW-Stevens Point.

UW-Platteville goes to UW-River Falls (Jan. 10), before hosting UW-Superior on Jan. 14 for the final time, as the Yellowjackets will be members of the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) starting in 2015-16.

After a trip to UW-Eau Claire (Jan. 21), the Pioneers welcome their alumni back to campus on Jan. 24 against UW-Stout for Alumni Day. UW-Platteville finishes the month of January on the road at Whitewater (Jan. 28) and Superior (Jan. 31).

The Pioneers play three of their final five regular season games at home, hosting UW-Oshkosh (Feb. 4), UW-Eau Claire (Feb. 11) and UW-River Falls (Feb. 21).
