ANDERSON, IND.-- Trine never trailed in a 90-61 victory over Anderson Saturday afternoon, as the Thunder earned their third-straight road victory in young season.

The Thunder hit 8-of-14 (57 percent) attempts from three-point range. The effort marked the first time Trine has topped 90 points in a game since Dec. 29, 2012 vs. St. Mary-Woods. The win marks the first time the Thunder have won three-straight road contests in the same season since the 2008-09 campaign. The Thunder came away with points on nine of their first 10 possessions to race out to a 22-4 lead at the 13:43 mark of the first half. Shaffer accounted for 13 of those points, knocking down three treys, hitting a layup, and swishing a pair of free throws. Emily Whiteleather (Columbia City, Ind./Columbia City) added four of her season-high six points during the run.

Anderson pulled within 33-26, but Trine outscored the Ravens 14-7 over the final 4:45 of the half to take a 47-33 lead into halftime. Ten different Thunder players scored in the first half. Shaffer had 16 points on 5-of-5 shooting before halftime.

A 12-0 second half run put the game out of reach. Five different Thunder players scored during the run, led by Taylor Cole's (Mount Pleasant, Mich./Shepherd) four points. The run turned an 11-point lead into a commanding 69-46 advantage with 8:34 to play.

Cole's six points off the bench helped the Trine bench outscore their Raven counterparts by a 32-14 margin. The Thunder bench depth was showcased once a gain, as Trine got a 10-of-19 (53 percent) shooting effort from players coming off the bench. Kyleigh Hampton (Wabash, Ind./Wabash) led all players off the bench with a career-high seven points.
