WHITTIER — Occidental point guard Tiffany Kho had a big weekend in a pair of games at Whittier College, scoring 28 points while grabbing eight rebounds to earn a spot on the Southern California Classic All-Tournament team.

Oxy lost to Linfield on Saturday (56-48) and to Bristol on Sunday (67-63).

Kho scored a career-high 20 points against Linfield, nearly leading Oxy to a second-half comeback. The Tigers trailed by 16 points at halftime, but cut the lead all the way to just five on a Kho layup with 1 minute, 13 seconds remaining in the game.

Triana Anderson also had a solid weekend, scoring 14 points against Linfield and 12 against Bristol.

Oxy took a 63-62 lead against Bristol with 1:28 left on a 3-pointer by Erin Matsumoto, but it was the last basket the Tigers were able to score.

The Tigers return to action on Friday against East Texas Baptist at Caltech at 1 p.m.
